Re-reading feels like studying. It isn't.

  • Familiar isn't the same as remembered

Highlighting and re-reading make the page feel known. The exam asks you to recall it with the page closed.

  • You can't see your own gaps

Without honest testing, the topics you don't know stay hidden until the exam finds them for you.

  • Generic questions miss your course

Question banks don't follow your lecturer's slides, terms or scope. Your study time should.

How Sitor works

  1. Step 1

    Diagnose what you already know

Name the exam and upload what your course gave you. A short diagnostic separates the topics you know from the ones you only recognize.

    Diagnose what you already know
  2. Step 2

Get a study path from your materials

Sitor reads your lecture slides, notes, textbook chapters and recordings and turns them into a study path, ordered so each topic builds on the last.

  3. Step 3

Practice until each topic is mastered

Every topic ends in practice questions and explain-it-back checks. Mastery is scored per topic, and the next one unlocks only when you've earned it.

Practice until each topic is mastered

Real Sitor screens. Example topics; yours will be built from your goal and materials.

What you can bring

  • Lecture slides (PPTX, PDF)
  • Textbooks (PDF, EPUB)
  • Notes (Word, Markdown, text)
  • Photos of notes and boards
  • Lecture recordings, transcribed
  • YouTube videos and web pages

What you get

  • Questions from your course

Practice is written from the materials you upload, so it uses your course's terms, examples and scope.

  • A map of what's left

The roadmap shows which topics are mastered, which are in progress and which you haven't started.

  • Explain it back

Sitor asks you to explain and apply ideas, not just pick an option, which is what essay and problem questions demand.

  • Review before it fades

Spaced review brings topics back on the forgetting curve, so what you learned in week one is still there on exam day.

How mastery is scored

Each concept is scored on four criteria before it counts as mastered and the next one unlocks:

Accurate
your answer is correct
Explained
you can say why, not just what
Novel application
you can use it on a case you haven't seen
Discrimination
you can tell it apart from similar ideas

Questions

What can I upload?

Lecture slides (PPTX or PDF), textbooks (PDF or EPUB), notes in Word, Markdown or plain text, photos of notes and whiteboards, and audio or video recordings, which are transcribed for you. You can also add YouTube videos and web pages.

Will the practice questions match my course?

They're written from the materials you upload, so they follow your course's terms and scope. Sitor is a tutor, not an official question bank: if your course publishes past papers, use those too.

How is this different from flashcards or ChatGPT?

Flashcards test recall of facts; a chatbot answers what you ask. Sitor starts with a diagnostic, plans the whole syllabus, asks you to explain and apply each idea, and keeps score per topic until you've mastered it.

My exam is soon. Is there enough time?

The diagnostic skips what you already know, so your time goes to your gaps. Tell Sitor when the exam is and how much time you have, and it will focus the path on what matters most.

How much does it cost?

The free plan includes 50 credits a month and up to 10 learning topics. Starter is $9.9/month and Pro is $19.9/month, and the first month of either is discounted. You can cancel any time.
